How to find a job quickly

Sometimes there comes a point where we just need to find a job quickly. It may be that you have been made redundant or that your circumstances have changed and need to find more work or possibly that you have moved to a new area meaning you have had to leave you old job.

Recent research has shown that on average it can take 23 days for the entire hiring process, which means you need to work fast if you cannot last another month with little or no income.

When applying for jobs you need to be specific and realistic. There is little point in filling out loads of application forms for jobs that you are not really that interested in or would not fit in with your other commitments. Instead have a think about what it is you really want to do and spend time researching positions that would match what it is you want.

Be sure not to stop applying for jobs just because you have already applied for a few you really want. You need to keep applying for jobs that match what you are looking for until you have been offered a position.

Take a lot of time over your cover letter and CV. Many employers will spend less than one minute looking at a CV and therefor you need to be able to grab their attention in a covering letter.
