Looking for work? Have you considered an apprenticeship?

When looking for work, it is important to not only think about your immediate position but also to consider your future. It may be that you need to bring a wage in as soon as possible, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot work towards your future career at the same time.

An apprenticeship can be taken in a number of job roles within a wide range of industries and each course will vary in terms of time to complete and hours you will work during a week. For example, you may find an apprenticeship in childcare that you wish to apply for that will take one to two years to complete but if you want to go on to do a higher level degree then you may have to study for up to four years.

It is fairly easy to find apprenticeship jobs in your area. You can either look on jobs boards online or visit the Government website where you can search a number of posts that are available to you in the local area.  Apprenticeships are perfect for people who want to continue their education whilst getting paid a small amount.
