If you have been in the army for a number of years and chose to leave, you may find it hard to discover what job you want to do. It may be that you have been in a very active role and need to find something that will keep you busy and allow you to be challenged.

Depending on what you want to do, I would recommend doing some voluntary work in a few different industries to try and establish what you will get fulfilment out of. This way you can try many different job roles within a a 6 month period without having to enter in to lengthy contracts.

It may be the case that you have no formal qualifications so there may be a need to return to college or university t gain the qualifications needed to progress in to the career in which you want to be.

There are many agencies out there that will be able to discuss your options with you and advise you on what path you need to take in order to be able to apply for the jobs that you wish to.
