If you remember back to when you were a child, there probably was a time when you thought about what job you would like to do when you are older. You will probably have considered doing a job which involves working with animals such as being a vet or a zoo keeper. This is a very popular choice for children but as they get older often their opinion changes.

As a child, many of us wanted to work with animals Being a vet is one of the top ten jobs children say they want along with working in the fire service or police, being a hairdresser and doctor but becoming a vet is very hard and takes years of training at university. 

Some people simply cannot afford to go to uni for that long and therefore being a vet is out of the question, but there are plenty of other jobs that you can do with fewer qualifications that will allow you to work with animals.

You may decide that you want to become a veterinary nurse instead which doesn’t require any formal qualifications although relevant qualifications will often give you an advantage when applying for jobs.
